  • Thank you so much for making this, I look at it almost everyday to give me motivation on the characters I make to get these special Card stats. :) You did a really good on it.

  • Okay a few questions… Mechanic’s Buff Duration, does it apply to Skill buffs, item consumable buffs like onyx apples, 2x EXP item consumable buff like made from Crafting and the freely given event 2x or 1.5exp item consumables?

    Does both ThunderBreaker and Brawler/Buccaneer’s Bonus Damage per character lvl stack? or is one only applied, since they are the same thing. Also, can I assume it applies on the character you login as? (example. lvl200 Hayato = 200 x +4 bonus damage = 800dmg?)

    I notice both are listed as you select ThunderBreaker and Buccaneer in a set, just wondering if they stack?

    This question can be applied to other Explorer+Cygnus characters that share the same Character Card stat. like DawnWarrior and Hero and Mihile = 12% DEF?, and Kanna and DemonAvenger bonus boss damage = 6%?

    I really hate it when Nexon reverts back to older systems like the Character Stats window that used to list almost everything including attack number, and yeah.

    So far I have Pirates Way, Powerful Charge, and Magical Storm sets, all at S rank, which in my personal opinion is the best 3 Deck Sets, you can have for Deck Combo I.

    Man it’s gonna be awesome when we get back BlazeWizards revamp which hopefully we can stack its character card with Ice/Lightning mages (magic damage per character lvl).
    If they stack that is.

    • Mechanic’s Buff Duration:
      It only affects the consumables that would show up as an icon on the upper right hand side of your screen.

      Per character level, as determined by the character you are logged in under and each card gives it’s said effect. IE; They do stack.

      Yes, so long as it isn’t any same class, the two will stack. IE; Paladin+Paladin = No. Night Walker+Dual Blade = Yes.

      I’m excited for the revamp as well, lets hope it was worth the wait!

  • and by the way, I am content with just making all my characters reach lvl100 to get mostly S ranks, cus crap its just not worth the time to lvl200. Getting one character like Hayato to reach lvl200 was painfully hard enough, and honestly Hayato is the only one character that is enjoyable enough to grind to lvl200 via party play, Monster Park, and DimensionInvade PQ and some secret mad exp boss runs which I keep to myself. *wink wink*

      • I can sympathize, the free 2x EXP events is one if not the only way to motivate myself on getting most of the characters that have a Link Skill and/or good Character Card stats to hit lvl120 and then I’m done with that character.

        Certain characters like Kanna, Phantom, Priests, Dark Knights, and especially Angelic Buster which was my favorite for the cute bubble gum transformation anime girl looks, her funny Hammer Crash skill animations, and that pewpewpew voice sound bytes,…
        I just can’t see myself going further past 120+, these characters are just not as fun to grind like… Hayato.

        IMHO, Hayato is the only one that’s fun enough for me and beast enough to solo mad lvl grind to lvl200 via Dimension Invade runs during the free 2x EXP events + 2x EXP cards from CashShop. Its truly amazing how beast Hayato is as a solo character in almost every aspect, but not so much going up against ridiculously hard bosses like Magnus and Root Abyss.

        On top that choosing the best characters to match up the best 3 card set like Hayato, Zero, and Paladin, has its own reward.

        But anyway sorry if I sound like I’m a boosting chatter box, but thanks again for making this chart and for your replies and insight. It is fantastic. :)

      • Oh it’s no problem, and I get what you mean. I felt that same way about Phantom! I just can’t get myself to play mine and it’s been that way for awhile. Though– I am really excited for EunWol. I thought I was excited for Xenon when that hype was up but what I’m really digging as of late is EunWol. Can he bring me out of my Class rut? Ohhh, I really hope so :3

        I’m glad you’ve found and stuck to a Class you love and ultimately enjoy. It’s one of the first things I tell anyone who asks me what Class they should play.
        A Class you enjoy, nothing more nothing less!

        S/N: More people used the defensive Cards in the Deck before most of them became useless with the update that ruined accuracy and avoidability… I hope Nexon fixes that. We need good resists/defensive options in our Deck(s).

  • ooh yea lvl120 is the magic number for many characters that have a link skill as well.
    Plus you get to enjoy a portion of most of your 4th job skills, and at lvl70 [pre U & I patch (lvl100+ req.)] you can daily grind on MonsterPark Extreme with 3 tickets every day, which is very nice, and even better if you stock up on Extreme tickets before a free 2x EXP event.

    which makes sense why Nexon is nerfing the lvl requirement for Extreme to lvl70 to lvl100, which IMO kinda bullshit but what evs I guess.

  • it would be so nice if we had Alien PQ for lvl200+ reduce its level to like I dunno lvl70+?

    I mean content for levels 200+ (AlienPQ and pretty much every major Boss like Root Abyss bosses, Magnus, Pink Bean, and Chaos Bosses) just feels pointless to me, becus once you hit lvl200 it really feels pointless to even play that character except stroking your ego by going around towns and watch annoying noobs gawk and stare at you with F3 stares in jealousy, and say stuff like OMG YOU SO PRO lol or something like that, and that’s it really.

    I really don’t play maple with other people anymore, I SOLO Maplestory these days, cus sorry but IMHO most users in maple are just annoying selfish dirtbags (yes, me including) and that have a maturity level of a 13 yr old (except me because I know better now).

    What Nexon needs to do to really make Maple more enjoyable is make it easier to reach lvl200 and beyon I guess, so that we can enjoy playing on more characters in those areas.

    But what evs, Nexon is in a business to make mad amount of money so it is what evs.

    • I know that feel. I’ve become a solo MMO goer since 2008– I wish it wasn’t this way but such is life for me!
      A lot of our community likes to act immature without really being so young, half of that is for fun and to troll about.. Which sucks, because it does ruin the atmosphere of the game…

    I used to play Dual Blade all the time since day 1 it came out during pre-Big-Bang, and then more so after its major revamp in Justice/Renegades(GMS) update, but then like many classes I just reached a “wall” where the character is just not “beast” or “fun” enough for me to progress further past lvl120+ or near lvl130.

    Farming up on Monster Park ticket pieces, and buying daily 5 tickets, and getting the free daily 3 Monster Park Extreme tickets were to me the best way as a solo player to advance into the levels between 60 to 140 before we got Dimension Invade PQ that made it possible for me get my Hayato to lvl200+ and my Xenon at 160ish.

    I pretty much experienced most of all characters in Maple which is satisfying enough for me cus I know from personal experience all the strengths and weakness of each character.

    So far my top ranking favorites during my experience in Maple from best to least best are:

    Oh I think theres a likely possibility for a new character coming out or will be revealed on Apr 30th

    As of now the only hint is the Ikura Rising Event listing in the Events windows as of this current patch within Black Heaven Final Act.

    It has the same Grand Adventure Ring as the reward for Ikura Rising event as it was also the event reward ring during the Resistance Revamp in Black Heaven Part 1 patch.

    I hope Ikura is a new character and I hope its a new Japanese character possibly a Sengoku Thief or Archer character

    And I wish Japan Maple is making Ayame, the Sengoku Pirate a playable character someday :(
